I like music that sticks out like a severed thumb; that takes the rock and roll attitude and dresses it up in a fancy new costume which may or may not consist of keyboards, twangy steel guitars, harmonicas, washboards, full orchestras, wine glasses, tambourines, gospel choirs, accordions, or didgeridoos. Anything goes, as long as it’s well executed and has some substance that goes beyond snazzy production values.

Favorite Bands: Silversun Pickups, Queens Of The Stone Age, My Morning Jacket, Midlake, White Stripes, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Aqueduct, Flaming Lips, The Mars Volta, Pedro The Lion, Band Of Horses, Every Time I Die, Refused, Wilco, Snowden, Minus The Bear…

Favorite Movies: Memento, True Romance, Pi, The Jacket, No Country For Old Men, Dead Man, A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints, 28 Days Later, Donnie Darko, The Royal Tenenbaums, Coffee & Cigarettes…

Schooling/Career: Like a true native Okie, I graduated from fourth grade with a handful of alcoholics and single mothers before studying under the great Tibetan zen masters in my never-ending quest for enlightenment. Somewhere along the way I departed from the path of wisdom and moved to L.A., where I currently join 3.9 million wanna-bes in trying to make it big in the entertainment industry.

Music Industry Experience: I’ve been known to play with a smattering of bands ranging in style from hardcore/post-hardcore to (dare I say it) emo to alt-country to classic rock and back again. In addition to tearing up the drumkit, I’m also a hack writer with delusions of grandeur, an aspiring comic book artist with a forthcoming project in the works, and a world class championship croc wrestler. No really.
