IndieUprising FAQ

1) Can I submit music to IndieUprising for the show?

Yes. There are a few factors in being selected for an episode.

• Have a professional recording. No home/live recordings please.

• Be cutting edge and different than anything going on the the “Mainstream.” If you’re an ARTIST that is interested in pushing the envelope, than I want you on the show. If you’re a pretentious, average, non-artistic, bullshit band only out to try to make cash or build your ego, than I don’t want you on the show.

 

• If submitting mp3s, have all meta-tags filled out. If I have to manually fill in your information in iTunes it may take a while before you’re featured on the show. No matter how kick-ass your recording is!

 

• All submissions are “for consideration.” It may be a while before you’re featured on the show, so be patient. If you have any questions please let me know.

 

• Email mp3s to: sean@indieuprising.net

 

• If you would like to mail any Press Kits/CDs, that is preferred. Please contact me for a mailing address.

2) Will you review my band’s new CD?

Maybe. The first step is to submit music for the show. Because i get so many submissions, I can’t review every album that comes my way. If I am interested in reviewing your album, I’ll get a hold of you.

3) Will you interview my band?

Maybe. Interviews are set up at my discretion. If I like your band, and think you’ll be a good interview, I will contact you. Please don’t ask me to interview your band. Interviews are chosen based on band interest, relevance of your band to today’s music scene and culture, and if you are out busting your ass for your love of music.  I am not here to stroke egos.
