Look for the new album to be released in September on Equal Vision Records.

FEB 21 2008 – Equal Vision Record’s DEAR AND THE HEADLIGHTS have been hand picked as the sole opener of the highly anticipated Paramore/Jimmy Eat World co-headlining spring tour. The tour kicks off April 1st in San Antonio, TX and wraps up May 2nd in Atlantic City, NJ. The tour also makes a stop at Bamboozle Left in Irvine, CA on April 5th.
The Arizona natives were at home writing and recording the follow up to 2007’s SMALL STEPS HEAVY HOOVES when they received the offer to join the tour. They couldn’t refuse the chance to tour with one of the most influential bands of the last decade, and a talented young band who in just a few years have broken into superstardom.
In January, Alternative Press listed the forthcoming DEAR AND THE HEADLIGHTS release one of the Most Anticipated Albums in 2008. While the April tour does put a slight delay on the writing, the record is still set for a Fall/Winter 2008 release.
Before the tour begins, DEAR AND THE HEADLIGHTS will be playing one last local show on February 29th in Tempe, AZ with Equal Vision Record’s latest signee’s Alive In Wild Paint. Arizona locals should buy tickets for this show quickly – It may be your last opportunity to see DEAR AND THE HEADLIGHTS for a long time to come.

DEAR AND THE HEADLIGHTS — writing, recording, and entertaining on YouTube
While they’re writing & recording, Arizona natives DEAR AND THE HEADLIGHTS have set up a camera in their practice space and will be posting weblogs of their progress.
The band explains: “Every Sunday starting January 27th we’ll be posting a ‘video blog/diary/documentation’ of our record writing process. There will be lots of heartfelt explanations of what the lyrics mean and such. It’s going to be a total cry-fest. So get out your Kleenex® and prepare. Of course I’m joking, but it will be interesting in its own way.”
